Clear skies welcomed the spectators who had made their way to the stadium today. They fielded: Secq - Tlsták, Grepet - Naffah, Lotero, Sánchez, Hierro, Marichkov - Pataquiva, Sammarco, Heneš.

Starters: Coenegracht - Kervinen, Müderris - Ojaniemi, Witcher, Kiszi, Zima, Randall - Amorim, Miranda, Godoy.

2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Mengo/Várzea decided to play creatively at a mythical level. AnFel took the lead 4 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Adolfo Pataquiva elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in AnFel's Jaroslav Heneš increasing the lead to 2 - 0. After 8 minutes, Camilo Godoy came close to reducing the score with a free kick aimed near the left post, but Étienne Secq warded the ball off to a corner. AnFel put in a good effort on the right, but Andrea Hierro saw his volley fly wide of the mark 16 minutes into the game. Mengo/Várzea's Otoniel Amorim showed his experience after 17 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. AnFel's Néstor Lotero had an excellent opportunity after 26 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Mengo/Várzea were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 27 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to José Luiz Miranda, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mengo/Várzea, with 53 percent of the ball.

Tomáš Tlsták could have put AnFel up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 52 minutes. Camilo Godoy made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. AnFel solidified their lead at the 71 minute mark, as Francesco Sammarco dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. As the match clock reached 77 minutes, AnFel's organisation began to suffer due to a lack of experience. Mengo/Várzea's right side looked dangerous after 78 minutes, as Antti Ojaniemi broke through. Étienne Secq continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. AnFel's Néstor Lotero was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Lyubcho Marichkov was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by José Andrés Sánchez, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Şahin Müderris from Mengo/Várzea a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. The match ends 3 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Mengo/Várzea, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

AnFel's top performer was clearly Francesco Sammarco. However, Néstor Lotero made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Mengo/Várzea player was without a doubt Derrick Witcher. Micah Randall was a disappointment, however.
