Guaro 4 - 2 Marechal

Guaro started off with a 2-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bell - Leiva, Arteaga - Escobar, Carrillo, Unsworth, Hewitt, Díaz - Lavado, Gamboa.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Marechal. Lineup: Lissi - Caneco, Sabóia, ten Oever, Stiel - Draghi, Mikhnovets, Nunes, Carron - Zarei, Kusztal.

Guaro were mostly trying to use their extra-terrestrial skill at attacking on the flanks. It was obvious that Guaro had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Guaro took the lead 28 minutes in, as Omar Carrillo broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. After 30 minutes, Roger Escobar put Guaro ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Luís Marcelo Caneco of Marechal received a yellow card after 31 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 32 minutes in, Guaro appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Samuel Lavado squirmed through their central defence after 41 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The Guaro players could smell victory in the air. Emiler Gamboa wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for 広樹 (Hiroki) 境 (Sakai) after 41 minutes. Emiler Gamboa was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Róger Leiva got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Leon Unsworth took over the role of being the Guaro captain. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Guaro had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Guaro had solid organisation. Marechal needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 55 minutes João Tiago Nunes made way for Armindo Maia Pereira. As João Tiago Nunes exited the field, Armindo Maia Pereira volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Oscar Arteaga, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Marechal's Hossein Zarei was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 65 minutes. Anderson Petrônio was given a chance to change things around. With 65 minutes played, the Marechal coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Jonas Campeche came on, Gaël Carron had to leave the fray. Guaro's Omar Carrillo swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Guaro coach let Felipe Sandí replace Luis Alberto Hewitt after 70 minutes. 76 minutes into the game, Guaro seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. With 77 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Marechal showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 1 when Jan Kusztal got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. Guaro had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Omar Carrillo increased the lead for Guaro to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! A bit later, Marechal's Sorato Sabóia easily reduced the lead to 4 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Guaro, with 58 percent of the ball.

Guaro's best player was Leon Unsworth. Angel Bell was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Marechal player was without a doubt Jan Kusztal. However, Armindo Maia Pereira made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 2.
