Clear skies welcomed the spectators who had made their way to the stadium today. Starters: Szlauer - Kpengla, Kuukasjärvi - Urdaneta, bahi, Abeleven, Klén, Borzym - Schönstaedt, Armitage, Conway.

They fielded: Coenegracht - Kervinen, Müderris - Ojaniemi, Witcher, Kiszi, Zima, Randall - Amorim, Miranda, Godoy.

The teams both lined up their players in 2-5-3 formations. Mengo/Várzea took a mythical creative approach on the field. With 10 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Mengo/Várzea's Micah Randall reached Sämi Zima's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 1. Mengo/Várzea came close to extending their lead as José Luiz Miranda delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 19 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 23 minutes into the game, Mengo/Várzea worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The swift technical skills of László Kiszi were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow Nuuti Kuukasjärvi who was humiliated after 24 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. 28 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Sämi Zima finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 35 minutes into the match, Otoniel Amorim came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Camilo Godoy showed off his impressive physique as he first forced the defenders to make an error, then easily snapped up the ball and scored for Mengo/Várzea. The visitors almost increased their lead after 39 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Mengo/Várzea, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

PWOCB supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to Nuuti Kuukasjärvi who reduced the visitors' lead after 52 minutes to 1 - 3. 53 minutes in, Mengo/Várzea's Otoniel Amorim received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 55 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Camilo Godoy who increased Mengo/Várzea's lead to 1 - 4. Antti Ojaniemi received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 63 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The Mengo/Várzea fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. A well placed corner kick from Camilo Godoy was followed by Sämi Zima's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Mengo/Várzea, the score now 1 - 6. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Sämi Zima. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Ben Schönstaedt tried lifting the ball over keeper Raymon Coenegracht. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. PWOCB's Guayasent Urdaneta was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Liam Armitage managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 6 after 71 minutes. Mengo/Várzea's Camilo Godoy made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 76 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Mengo/Várzea's Camilo Godoy blocked one attack after another by PWOCB, finally picking the ball up for himself and powering through towards the goal. It paid off! 2-7 after 77 minutes. By then Camilo Godoy had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 79 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Şahin Müderris a chance to increase the lead for Mengo/Várzea, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 8. A marvellous PWOCB effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 80 minutes by Nuuti Kuukasjärvi, making the score 3 - 8. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 3 - 8. Mengo/Várzea had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

PWOCB's top performer was clearly Zachary Conway. However, Marek 'Mariachi' Szlauer made a disastrous appearance. Mengo/Várzea's best player was Derrick Witcher. Micah Randall on the other hand, had a terrible day.
